Pecan Pie
This is another recipe that is very popular in North America.
Ingredients

200 | | g | pecans |
50 | | ml | butter |
250 | | ml | brown sugar |
60 | | ml | golden syrup |
5 | | ml | vanilla |
3 | | | eggs |
1 | | | frozen pie crust |
Method
Grease a 20 cm diameter pie pan, add the pie crust, allow it to thaw and trim to fit. Beat the eggs and set aside. Smash the pecans (the can be done effectively using a rolling pin while they are still in the packages) and distribute them around the pie crust.
In a pot, combine the butter, sugar and syrup over a low heat and gradually bring to a boil. Allow it to cool as much as possible but is still liquid and add to the eggs, beating continuously. Pour the mixture into the pie crust and bake at 160° for 40 minutes.
